Dropkick Murphys played the Red Hat Amphitheater last night. I was not the only one to wear a kilt and sporran for the show. A family in the pit that had on their Red Sox attire were invited back stage. Being lifted over the security barrier before the show. I knew I should have worn my Gronk jersey with my kilt.

The Celtic punk rock band was formed in 1996 in Quincy, Massachusetts, and has released nine disks to date. Singer/songwriter, Ken Cassey, is the only original member with the band today.
Dropkick Murphys are known for their live shows. The music is fun and energetic. Ken and Al Barr (co-lead vocals) get you hopping and dancing in the aisles. Climbing up to the crowd to sing with the fans.

Have to say there seemed to be a lot of Massachusetts transplants in the crowd when asked to raise their hands. Then the band played The State of Massachusetts.

All in all this was a great, lively show. A must see band, if you enjoy rock, punk or hard Celtic music.
